Is Tom Burk, ya know the one telling you that Kalispell is recession proof somehow, is he here on some sort of a work visa. Does he have dual citizenship. He sure talks like he knows Northwest Montana Well and that he knows the market here, but he has not been here long.
Below is an article that leads me to believe Tom Burk is Canadian, I like Canadians don't get me wrong but now I know why he Killed a Deal I had in Eureka Montana. I am the Broker Owner of Ten Lakes Realty in Eureka Montana. I made a full price offer on a local Coldwell Banker listing, one I had listed before and had been listed for years.
I made a FULL price offer and after listed for years he let his clients out of the contract, even though they did want to sell and it had been marketed for years. He did not do right by me or by my buyer. This article says why, in not so many words, the Seller is a Border Guard and he wanted to let them out of the contract with no struggle at all because he was afraid that he will have trouble crossing the border.
How does he live here and run several local Coldwell bankers for a very young man out of Florida who owns Coldwell Banker? I guess his wife must be a Resident. She called me last summer and told me not to talk about her husband, I could not believe it, anyway - check it out..
Ex-Calgarian helps sell relaxed Montana lifestyle
Marty Hope, Calgary HeraldPublished: Saturday, July 26, 2008
There appears to be an invisible fenceline near this Montana city that stops Calgarians from venturing further into the state in search of recreation property, suggests a local real estate executive who is a former resident of Calgary.
"The Canadian presence is huge in Whitefish and Lincoln County -- that's where Eureka is, and it's really difficult to get them from Whitefish down to the Flathead Lake area," says Tom Burk, president and CEO of Wachholz and Co. Real Estate headquartered in Kalispell.
